Last month in Tanzania, the BWM staff hosted an all-African-led Leaders Conference. Below is the report by Renatus Cosmos Kanunu that will bless you greatly. You’ll want to read this and weep for joy!
Looking back on the Key Men Conference done in Kahama, I am amazed and humbled that God would allow Barry Wood Ministries to be a part of something so important to the advancement of His Kingdom. It was also a blessing to hold and serve with Barry Wood Ministries’ staff, Peter Bosco and Charles Mwaigomole. The staff of Barry Wood Ministries arrived here one week before. The staff had a Burden to Bible teaching and the equipping of the young guys in Kahama by entrusting things the Lord gave them to faithful men in Kahama who will be able to teach others as commanded in 2 Timothy 2:2. It was a five day Dynamic Key Men and Women Conference.
God has been indeed gracious to us during this conference as we have trusted Him through what we have been able to accomplish. I wish to report to you on the Key Men and Women Conference held in Kahama from June 23rd – June 27th and ask that you trust God with us in upcoming events. The Key Men conference brought together 115 participants from different churches and denominations. We did achieve our targeted number and even more. The conference time was used well and I believe that we have left an impact in Kahama that will blossom. Peter Mwaigomole, Bosco, and I went to teach the DISCIPLE LEADER MANUAL everyday from 8:30a.m – 5:30p.m.
Peter was teaching the Disciple Walk and the Word lessons which are in Sections 1-2. He had a good time with every group, and he taught each day to explain all the lessons in these chapters. He shares his views and taught the time alone with God, 4 minutes with God in prayers, the Law of the spiritual harvest, things to know about the great leader, Mark of the Disciples, wheel illustration and much more materials in the chapters. Every person was very encouraged and at the end, one key man who is a Pastor came up and said,
“I have been an evangelist for a long time and now am about to be a pastor soon, but I have never heard teachings like these. I will never remain the same again and I promise to teach my fellow pastors and evangelists, laymen and even people in my church and also win the community for Jesus. God bless you brothers.”
