Barry M Wood, an Oklahoman, was saved and called to preach the gospel as a teenager. A graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, he has preached and led missions on four continents. His long career as an International evangelist, pastor, author, and conference speaker, has led him to fulfill his calling as president of Barry Wood Ministries. Since 2001 and at age 63, now 86 years old – BWM has been active in 10 African countries, doing evangelism, leadership training, church planting, discipleship, and HIV education. Using the Jesus Film, nearly a million Africans each year, hear the Gospel through the outreach of BWM.
A Life of Disciple Making
While pastor to students at Texas Tech University, Barry developed his skills as a disciple maker and leader. Barry is a leader of men, a disciple maker, and missionary. He is passionate about developing leaders to reach the nations with the gospel. He has been a co-leader & teacher of the Buckaroos bible study in Dallas for many years. He loves sports, hunting, fishing, and golf! He and his wife Gail have been married over thirty five years and live in Prosper, Texas.
