Saving lives,-saving souls
Each year for the past Six years, BWM has taken medical personnel to East Africa to host clinics in remote villages that have no medical care. Doctors, Nurses, PA’s and Dentists have all volunteered their time and extraordinary talents to help the poor & the sick of Africa. Each mission saves many lives from disease & impending death.
Evangelism & Medicine
As BWM prepares each year for one or two volunteer mission “safaris” we seek to couple medical clinics with evangelism. A medical mission is giving a cup of cold water in Jesus name. As long lines of sick people gather to be treated, our volunteers are sharing the love of Christ with those waiting treatment. Each safari sees hundreds, even thousands come to Christ as savior, and churches are often planted as a result.
African-led Medical Missions
Each medical team that enters the bush is led by BWM staff who are skilled witnesses and trained to do solid follow up on the many who are treated. We encourage any medical people to join us on future trips to work side by side with our staff to bless the poor of rural Africa.
2009 medical missions
In November 2009 we sponsored a medical team to the Luo & Alur people along the shores of the Nile & lake Albert in central Uganda.. 13 Americans and 4 of our BWM ugandan staff led a four village mission to these poor village people. 2070 prayed to receive Christ, and as a result new churches will be planted as our staff does the follow up.. Our medical team treated hundreds under the anointing of God's spirit. It was a miracle of Grace! So many wonderful life-changing stories came out of this Nile mission.
2010 Mission trips: in 2010 two Missions are in the planning for both Tanzania & Kenya.. We are always looking for Churches to partner with us and bring medical personnel & volunteers to assist. For information on 2010 trips contact BWM offices.
